Hi, I’m Colin. I’m originally from the UK, where I ran a dog walking and boarding company in London for 13 years. I recently married my Brazilian husband, Wallace, who like myself is a massive animal lover. After visiting his family in Brazil and noticing all the abandoned and stray animals living on the streets, we decided to sell the company and buy a house in Marataízes to help these animals. We are only looking after two dogs and a cow at the moment but once we are up and running we hope to take more.

We bought our house in a quiet community in the Brazilian municipality of Marataízes and our mission is to rescue all kinds of abandoned animals. We will provide shelter and food, as well as any rehabilitation/ care needed to give them a comfortable and loving environment to live out their days.
We will also be rescuing animals from the meat industry and saving them from slaughter with the aim of either keeping or rehoming them, so they can have a good quality of life in their retirement age.
We are looking for donations to help fund our dream of rescuing more animals. Although we would appreciate any help. Even food for the animals and cages would come in handy.
We also hope to plant native vegetables and trees, such as orange trees to share with the local community, so we would be grateful for a bag of soil or two, or anything to help the vegetation.

He’s named after a dear friend of mine who passed away last year. He has a fantastic smile like my friend. He loves to watch the world go by and the sunrise/sunset. Bit of a dreamer.
She’s named after the cocktail as she’s bright and bubbly in temperament. She loves constant attention and scratches around her horns. She moos when she sees me in the morning and comes running up with excitement with her tail on top of her body. She’s currently pregnant so we would also love any help with food for her and the calf.
